Water of Alfama
Memories of the mineral-medicinal waters in the typical neighborhood of Alfama

Highlights: This tour introduces you to the history of Lisbon from a different point of view, from the water, in the typical Alfama neighborhood, where some bath emerged during the eighteenth century until the public bath in the twentieth century. We visit in the intricate streets - especially picturesque and where you will want to walk with the camera always at hand - the main water points like fountains, tanks and even the place of the Alcaçarias, a former leather and dye industry. Finally we visit Bicos House where we can learn more about the Roman period in the city and the city relationship with the Tagus River.

Special: Flea Market every Tuesday and Saturday morning. Lunch at a non-touristy restaurant the most typical Lisbon food “Iscas com elas”.

Main attractions: National Pantheon, S. Estevão Church, S. Miguel Church, Portas do Sol Viewpoint, Santa Luzia Viewpoint, Lisbon Cathedral, Bicos House, Alfama Streets, De Dentro Fountain, D'el Rei Fountain, Ratas Fountain and Alcaçarias.
